HCLE Queen/Ambassador/Scholarships

Attention High School Boys:

The Hays County Livestock Show is starting a new leadership role for High School Boys called Hays County Livestock Show Ambassador.  All applicants must have shown at least one year at the Hays County Livestock Show. Rules and information about the Ambassador program can be found in the 2018 Hays County Livestock Show Rule book online at www.hayscountylivestockshow.org   Applications are also available on the website.

There is a mandatory meeting for all applicants and at least one parent on Sunday October 1, 2017 2pm at the Hays County PCT 2 office in Kyle. 

All application packets are due to the Hays County Extension Office in Wimberley by 4:30 pm on Friday October 6, 2017. Late Applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

2017 fall County Roundup

2017 Fall County Roundup will be held on October 30th at the Extension Office in Wimberley:

200 Stillwater Rd,
Wimberley, TX 78676


Contest will begin at 6pm:

  • Food Challenge
  • Food Show
  • Entomology
  • Beef, Horse, Nutrition Quiz Bowl
  • Public Speaking
  • Educational Presentations


All entry forms must be submitted to the Extension office by Oct 23rd.

JR Leadership Retreat

Junior Leadership Retreat for 4-Hers in 3rd-8th grade.  November 10-12th @ Texas 4-H Center in Brownwood. 
The Texas 4-H Council will lead educational sessions in: Outdoor Cooking, Community Service, Robotics, Duds to Dazzle, and Wildlife Education.

2017 District 10 4-H Conference

The 2017 District 10 4-H Conference will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Comfort High School in Comfort, TX. This conference gives youth and adults from around the district the opportunity to expand their 4-H knowledge by highlighting projects from different areas. It provides for district level leadership that they can take back to their county and teach to local 4-Hers. This conference will feature six (6) rotating sessions for youth and adults, that you can pick three (3) to attend. These sessions will offer various training on available contests and project experiences.


Cost: $15.00 per registrant, youth and adults
