Club Officer and Manager Training Scheduled

 July 16, 2016
This year the training will take place at the Guadalupe County Extension Office
210 East Live Oak Street, Seguin  830-379-2153  

Club Managers
Your training will take place on Saturday, July 16th at 4:00 pm  This training is MANDATORY FOR ALL NEW MANAGERS and returning managers are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend.  Volunteers are also welcome!  Hopefully there will be a representative from each club.  This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow Club Managers, talk about changes to and issues with the 4-H Program, discuss programs and club issues and much more!  We will also cover issues like conflict management, cash management and more.

4-H Club Officer Training and County Council
All 4-H Club Officers training will be held July 16th from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.  All officers are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend, and to be on time.  Training includes things like officer duties, along with some leadership opportunities, games and other information that you will be able to use in your home club.
There are some changes this year that will be covered.  It will be a fun day so RSVP with Carol at Extension office (830) 379-2153 by July 13th!

4-H Awards Night

The date of the 4-H Awards Night has been changed to August 5th.  The meal will still be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., program at 7 p.m. with dance to follow.
The reason for the change is the State Horse Show will still be going through July 29th.

Steer Validation Alternate Site

As in the past, the Krackau Ranch has offered an alternate site for validation.

Steer Validation Update Continued

 If a parent or guardian is not able to be present at validation, a Parental Waiver must be presented at time of validation.  Please use the link below.

If you know you cannot attend validation, contact Jordan Blount at (512)858-3133,   to make alternate arrangements. Paper work will need to be signed beforehand and emailed to Mr. Blount.

Steer Validation Update

Update for Steer Validation: Validating  MAJOR SHOW heifers only on the same day and time as steers.  If you are not registered or only showing at County - You do not need to come to the June 15th  validation.
