4-H County Council Officer Applications will be due by April 11th. Turn into the Extension Office or email to kate.blankenship@ag.tamu.edu
We will be conducting interviews for the council positions on April 18th starting at 4:30pm.
Once we have received all the applications, you will be notified of your time slot.

Here are the positions and responsibilities for each position:
Chairman:
Preside
at meetings
Contact/Meet
with County Extension Agentto prepare in advance of meetings
Appoint
committees
Serve
on committees as an ex-officio member
Serve
as voting delegate to DistrictCouncil, attend meeting/s, and actively represent
County Councilas a member of the District 4-H Council.
1st
Vice Chairman:
Assume
duties of the Chairman in his/her absence
Serve
as Programs committee chairman for council
Serve
as voting delegate to District Council, attend meeting/s, and actively
represent County Council as a member of the District 4-H Council
2nd
Vice Chairman:
Assume
duties of Chairman of 1st Vice Chairman in his/her absents
Serve
as recreation chairman for council
Serve
as voting delegate to District Council, attend meeting/s, and actively
represent County Council as a member of the District 4-H Council (if fourteen
or older)
Secretary:
Keep
accurate minutes of meetings 9regular and executive0
Keep
roll and attendance records
Tend
to correspondence as necessary
Submit
monthly report on 4-H Connect
Serve
as chairman of membership committee
Reporter:
Submit
reports of meetings and council activities to area media outlets
Submit
information to 4-H newsletters 9county/district/other) as appropriate
Work
closely with Secretary and Information Officer
Keep
a scrapbook/digital presentation of County Council activities/events
Serve
as chairman of community Service committee
Social Officer:
Update
social media outlets
Work
to update newsletters and 4-H Blog
Work
closely with Secretary, Reporter, and County Extension Agent
Help
Reporter keep a scrapbook/digital presentation of County Council
activities/events
Serve
as chairman of Public Relations committee
Parliamentarian:
Oversee
the conduct of County Council meetings
Use
Roberts Rules of Order, Revised as a reference for correct procedures and
conduct Council meetings
Serve
as chair/member as appointed by Council Chairman
