4-H State Roundup

4-H State Roundup is June 12th-14th, 2018 

Register on 4-H Connect from May 1-17th (will incur late fees after the 17th)

           

THINGS TO NOTE:

There are a few changes to the steps involved in registering and we need your help in communicating that to our 4-H families. Roundup t-shirts will be purchased through Marketplace and the parking permits for the week will be direct through Transportation Services. See the attached flyers to share with your families. I have also attached the registration worksheets which some find beneficial for helping their families with the registration process.

Hotel Room Block information was released in February. If you have not made reservations, please do so. Some hotels have mid-May cutoff dates for their room blocks. If you are having any problems with a hotel block, please let me know ASAP.

Donor information will be released soon. The Texas 4-H Foundation is confirming with a few additional sponsors before we send the list statewide.

Recordbook Training

Recordbook Training on May 15th @ 6pm

The primary purposes of completing a Record Book are for a young person to develop the skills necessary to set goals, work toward achieving those goals, reflect on his/her experiences, and set new and higher goals for themselves. A secondary benefit is to prepare young people for the process of completing quality academic scholarship applications.

Kids Baking Championship

 

Food Network is casting for Kids Baking Championship:
We are currently casting children ages 8-13 for who LOVE to bake.

Contestants will be selected to appear on the show to participate in a series of baking challenges. Ultimately, one winner will be awarded a cash prize!

We are trying to spread the word as much as possible about this awesome opportunity for talented kid bakers!

Horse Awards Banquet

Hays County 4-H Horse Program Awards will be on May 22 at 6:30 at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park.  Meal will be provided.  Everyone is ask to bring a wrapped mystery item for the scholarship auction.
